GE - Let your imagination fly
GE wanted to run a global competition for its staff to design a kite that would be given out by GE at the Beijing Olympics. Our idea was to create a bespoke design application allowing users throughout GE to create their kite designs. The winning design went on to appear on thousands of kites given out at the games and the lucky winner got to see the whole event in person. flickr was used to host the entries where the GE board selected favourites and the winner.

Post Office
The brief to redesign the Post Office website was a complex mixture of internal requirements and business imperatives. Fundamentally the redesign had to be more consumer focused and sales led, enabling the Post Office to show the true breadth of its products and services. The result is a bold yet simple design that can accommodate any number of offers and campaigns at once.

Royal Mail
The aim of this redesign was to better segment Royal Mail's customers with a view to offering more relevant services and information tailored to their three core groups, personal customers at home, small to medium sized businesses and large corporates through sub-homepages.

Royal Mail applications and services
During his time at Proximity, Pete was instrumental in leading the development of a number of applications on RoyalMail.com. Below are some of the highlights: Smilers, an application that allows you to make your own personalised stamps. The SME Mailing Toolkit, bringing together all a SME's mailing tools in one place and a customer service area that uses an intelligent agent for consumers and business customers which, in its fist 3 months reduced call to customer service by 50%.
