Charbonnel et Walker has been established as Britain's Master Chocolatiers since 1875. In that year, King Edward VII (then Prince of Wales) encouraged Mme Charbonnel to leave the chocolate house of Maison Boissier in Paris to join Mrs Walker to establish a chocolatiers and confectionery house in London. Charbonnel et Walker hold a Royal Warrant as Manufacturers of Chocolates to Her Majesty The Queen and are renowned for hand-made English chocolates beautifully presented in luxurious hand-made boxes. Many recipes are from Mme Charbonnel's book and the techniques of hand making chocolate truffles and the highly acclaimed Rose and Violet Creams have changed little over the years.
